We will meet at the church in the west lot at 3 PM on Friday, August 8 (Look for the bus!) Our goal is to be on the road by 3:30 PM. Cost for this trip is $40 per kid. That covers all expenses including meals Friday dinner through Sunday lunch.
We will be camping at the youth group site at Muskegon State Park! The site has a pavilion and picnic tables as well as two outhouses. We are quite secluded from the other campgrounds, which is great, so we can be nice and loud! It is a non-electric site, with a pump for water. But we will have access to showers and electricity at the main campground.
Cell phone service is not great, so we will try to get into cell service to make calls and get messages to parents as needed. I would encourage kids to leave their phones at home! Before we leave, I will provide all parents with my contact information as well as a few of our other leaders to get a hold of if needed.
We will spend most of our time, playing games, in devotionals, hiking, and swimming! We should have enough tents, but if you have a good tent, and would like to send it with your student, that would be great! We make two tent villages, one for the guys and one for the girls. We have a great number of youth leaders as well as interns . Students will either be riding in the bus or in my truck. Please let me know if you guys have any other questions!
