Stewardship

Money is a pretty important part of our lives. The Bible mentions money over 800 times, so it is clearly important to God too. When we talk about how money merges with our faith, we talk in terms of stewardship.

We believe that God is the source of all our wealth and that He has made us managers - or stewards - of those resources. We believe managing our money is primarily a faith issue. Trusting God with our money shows that we have faith in Him as our provider.

Online Giving

We're bombarded by a multitude of things that demand our attention and our time, and not just at church. In today's technology driven world, it isn't reasonable to expect everyone to give by check or cash on Sunday. So, to help make regular giving easier, you can now give online. This option allows you to set up one-time and recurring gifts using a savings or checking account, or a debit/credit card. It takes just a minute to set up your profile. You'll have instant access to change your gift at any time, without the need to fill out additional paperwork or stop by the church office. As in the past, you'll still be able to print your yearly giving statement using My Freshwater. We hope this option makes it easier for all of us to be faithful with our finances -- in a way that fits our busy lives in today's technology driven world. Give by Text

You can make a gift to Freshwater with a quick text message!  Simply text any amount you'd like to give to 84321.  If it's your first time, you'll be sent a link to complete a one-time setup.  If your mobile number is already set up in My Freshwater or in the Church Center app, you will not have to set up text giving.  It's already available to you! 

You can set up a repeat gift via text, schedule a recurring gift, and more. Check out this FAQ, and contact our office if you have other questions. 

Eighteen years ago, God moved on behalf of Freshwater and led us to a temporary location in an old warehouse on Red Arrow Highway. Today, God has again moved like only He can... by blessing us with a permanent home for just $1.00! He has taken us one amazing step closer to our dreams of developing a center for life change.

In order to continue moving our ministry forward, we took a special First Move offering on Oct. 18, 2015. In a way that only God can provide, we raised nearly $180,000. We're now using those funds to make immediate repairs to the building to make way for a community center.

United Christian Services

United Christian Services’ mission is to embrace the teaching of Jesus to care for one another through assistance in emergencies, while encouraging self-sufficiency in Gobles, Paw Paw, Mattawan, Lawton, Lawrence, Decatur, Bloomingdale, and Hartford. They have many programs and services including Lydia’s Clothing Closet, The Food Porch, The Learning Garden, Finance Classes, and more!

Daily Recovery Zone

The Daily Recovery Zone was founded by Jewel Dailey in May 2019. Since overcoming addiction herself, Jewel has worked tirelessly over the past 9 years to help others on their road to recovery. During this time, she saw the desperate need for a safe space where people in recovery could turn to for support and encouragement. The Zone is a place where people can form relationships, find resources, encourage one another, and move forward in their next steps.

More than 19,000 children under the age of 5 die each year from hunger, poverty and disease. Those aren't just numbers -- those are people! And we're committed to saving as many lives as possible. So, every year, our youth groups commit to fast for 30 hours to raise money and awareness for hungry children around the world. Since 2008, you've helped us raise $32,000 for World Vision. With your help, we're saving children's lives!

LifeWater

Lifewater International is on a mission to bring safe water, safe sanitation, and the hope of Jesus to every child on the globe. Since 2010, Freshwater has provided more than 280 people in East Africa with safe water for life! We're making a lasting impact and sharing the love of Jesus in remote corners of the world. Wings of God
