Freshwater’s mission is to develop fully devoted followers of Jesus by connecting real life with authentic faith. For us, it is more about relationships than religion. According to Newsweek Magazine, in 1900, 70% of Americans went to church. Today, 70% of Americans have no meaningful relationship with a church. What this seems to show is that the church has done a relatively poor job connecting with where people are at, and they are turning elsewhere to find answers to their questions. Freshwater Community Church was born out of this need.

So, what makes Freshwater different? Our goal is to be a church that is not just about what's inside our own four walls. We believe that Jesus never sat around a church waiting for broken people to find Him. He was constantly on the move seeking the lost and broken, and reaching out to those who many would overlook. In fact, his parting message to us was to “Go...” So that is what we strive to do. Whether it is investing in the local community, partnering with other churches to plant churches, or using technology to expand our ability to reach the lost, that's what we'll do.
